Happy Halloween!

YAY! We made it to Friday. I know I can talk for Curt and myself in saying that it has been one of the longest weeks ever (or at least in quite a while). But it's official, our apartment is empty. We are homeowners. And all of our stuff should be arriving on Tuesday. I only wish that I was arriving with it. But really after today there are only 39 days left. It always feels better when the number in the tens place gets lower.

SEP's were quite the experience. I really got to know the kids better by watching the interaction between teacher, student, and parent. I think it's funny that you can really tell why kids act the way they do from their parents and their parent's attitudes/beliefs. It was also interesting to me how differently people take things. For example, we have an issue in our class where our kids are more "race horse" than "work horse." They are all in such a huge hurry to finish first, that their work is not high quality. Reactions of parents range from getting really angry, to laughing about it. But anyways, it was a good experience and nice to see what it's all about before I actually have to do it.

As I said, my apartment is totally empty of all furniture, so I'm not living there (obviously). I'm grateful to Regan and Jonette for letting me take over a room for the next 39 days. As well as borrow a car since both of those are already in KY. It's a much better option than the hotel Curt is staying in, that's for sure!

Well, that's about it. I'm glad time is moving quickly and that the holidays are coming. We're getting to my favorite time of year, minus the snow and all of that cold stuff. I hope you and your family are doing well.
